For thirty-six years, Marcus Sullivan has been the responsible older brother, stepping in to take care of his seven siblings after their father died when they were children. But when the perfectly ordered future he’s planned for himself turns out to be nothing but a lie, Marcus needs one reckless night to shake free from it all.

Nicola Harding is known throughout the world by only one name – Nico – for her catchy, sensual pop songs. Only, what no one knows about the twenty-five year old singer is that her sex-kitten image is totally false. After a terrible betrayal by a man who loved fame far more than he ever loved her, she vows not to let anyone else get close enough to find out who she really is…or hurt her again. Especially not the gorgeous stranger she meets at a nightclub, even though the hunger – and the sinful promises – in his dark eyes make her want to spill all her secrets.

One night is all Nicola and Marcus agree to share with each other. But nothing goes as they plan when instead of simply tangling limbs, they find a deeper connection than either of them could have anticipated. And even though they both try to fight it, growing emotions – and sizzling attraction – keep drawing them closer together.

Close enough for them to wonder if stealing one more secret moment together can ever be enough?.

There are characters that I will almost instantly click with.  There is no rhyme or reason, no formula to be followed it simply happens – much like falling in love.  Marcus and Nicola are those types of characters.  It’s very easy for this couple to let their magic flow over to the reader.  There is a vulnerability to them both, although Marcus might not agree, that touches the reader’s emotions.  They’ve both been deeply disappointed in people they trusted, both have been burned.  And neither is looking for a forever relationship – just tonight works fine… until just tonight isn’t enough and that’s where the fun begins.

From This Moment On is one of the most beautifully sensuous romances I’ve read in a while.  Anyone can have a sexual hookup.  Nicola and Marcus had so much more.  Tenderness, caring, yes dominance but in a fashion that left no doubt that pleasure for both was at the heart of Marcus’ actions.  Nicola wasn’t her pop star image in real life – but she wanted one night of passion, one night of simply letting go and being like any other woman on the planet.  She got far more than she bargained for.

Their journey is a combination of exploration, tenderness, facing their reality and finding a way to have it all.  They will hurt each other, yet they’ll also heal.  They will definitely love each other, and they will find a way to make their crazy lives work – together.  It’s always fun to see any of the Sullivan siblings, they certainly fill up a room with personality.  Although I loved the romance between Nicola and Marcus, I think what touched me most was an acknowledgement that some people put their entire life behind taking care of their family for whatever reason life tosses at them.  Marcus finally met a woman who was just as, if not more important to him than his family.  Someone he could finally love enough to say to his family who he adored  “I’ve done my best for you all, now it’s my turn”.  I think we all want that kind of love – where we truly are the first in our partner’s life… not the only but the one for them.

I loved From This Moment On, and I believe you will, too.
